Increase visibility

When someone asks AI, does your business come up?

We check what Google Maps, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity say when someone goes looking for a business like yours. You find out where you stand, which businesses are being recommended in your place, and what to fix first.

of local business locations get recommended by ChatGPT when someone asks (source)
30x
harder to earn an AI recommendation than a spot in Google’s map pack, across the same businesses (source)
68%
is how accurate the average business’s own information is on ChatGPT and Perplexity (source)

The 2026 analysis behind these figures covered more than 350,000 business locations, almost all of them multi-location brands with marketing teams behind them. Worth knowing when you read the 1.2%: single locations start further back.

What your visibility report actually shows

Not a score out of a hundred. A plain list of the questions your customers ask, the answers the assistants give, and the names that come back instead of yours.

  • Where you stand on each assistant, question by question
  • Who is being recommended instead of you, by name
  • Why they are winning: what their profile, reviews and web presence have that yours does not
  • What to fix first, ordered by what moves fastest rather than what is easiest to sell you

Three things decide whether AI names you

Every AI answer about a local business is assembled from the same short list of sources. There is no trick and no back door. There is just doing these three things better than the shop down the street.

Your profile

Your Google Business Profile is the first structured record any assistant reads about you: categories, services, hours, photos, questions answered. Assistants get this wrong about a third of the time, so a complete and consistent profile is the cheapest advantage available.

Your review signals

Volume, recency, and the actual words your customers use. This is the biggest single body of text about you that an assistant can read and quote, and the only lever that moves every week rather than every quarter.

Your content footprint

Assistants answer questions, so they favor businesses whose web presence answers questions. Pages that address what people in your area actually ask are what turn you from a name on a map into an answer worth giving.

The new page one is three names long

On Google, being result six still gets you seen. When someone asks an assistant, there is no result six. It names two or three businesses and stops. There is no page two to fall back on and no impression to salvage.

Worse, there is no notification. No ranking drop, no alert, nothing in your inbox. A customer asks, gets three names, calls one of them, and you never learn you were in the running. The only way to catch it is to go and look.

Measuring it and fixing it are different jobs

The Pro plan tracks where you stand every month and hands you a ranked list of what to fix. If you have someone who can act on that list, that is all you need.

Our top plan does the fixing. Google Business Profile optimization, published content built to answer what your market is asking, and a site AI can actually read.

An honest note

Nobody can guarantee an assistant will recommend your business. Anyone promising that is selling you something. AI answers move around, vary by how the question is phrased, and change without warning.

What we can promise is narrower and more useful. We will show you exactly where you stand, name the businesses winning in your place, and work the inputs these systems are known to draw on. The businesses with complete profiles, deep recent review histories and real content keep turning up in the answers. That is not a guarantee, but it is a game you can play.

Owners ask us

Nobody finds my business through ChatGPT. Why does this matter?

That is the right question, and the honest answer is that it depends on your town and your trade, which is exactly why we measure it rather than assume it. What is not in dispute is the direction. Google now puts an AI answer above the results, and Maps has been a ranked shortlist rather than a list of links for years. The work that earns an AI recommendation takes months, so the time to start is before it decides your bookings, not after.

Which AI assistants do you check?

Google Maps, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Those are the ones with enough real usage to affect a local business today. We add others as they earn it, and in practice the signals that win you one tend to win you the others.

Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend me?

No. Nobody can, and you should be wary of anyone who says otherwise. What we do is measurable: we show you where you stand now, who is being recommended instead, and we improve the inputs these systems draw on. When your profile is complete, your reviews lead your neighborhood, and your site answers the questions people are asking, you have given the assistant every reason to name you.

How is this different from SEO?

It overlaps, but it is not the same thing, and that is the trap. Of the businesses that win Google’s local map pack, fewer than half also turn up in AI recommendations. You can be the top result in your town and be completely absent the moment someone asks an assistant. Ranking well is a good sign, not a free pass.

Is AI visibility included in every plan?

Tracking and the fix list come with the Pro plan and every Done For You plan. Our lower plans still improve your AI visibility, because review signals are the biggest single thing assistants read about a local business. You just do not get to see the number move. Done For You is where we do the fixing. See pricing.

How long before anything changes?

You get your baseline in the first week, so you know where you stand immediately. Profile and review work starts the same week and usually shows up in Maps within 60 to 90 days. AI visibility is the slowest of the three, because assistants take time to pick up what changed. Anyone quoting you faster is guessing.
